What is stored in your browser when you open firstclassmedia.ro, what you choose on the banner, and how to change your mind.
In short
This site sets no cookies of its own. The only thing stored locally is your answer to the privacy banner. We use no Google Analytics and no third-party analytics tool.
The banner covers measurement, not messages. If you send the contact form, we keep the IP address it came from for thirty days so we can stop automated submissions. That happens because you wrote to us, not because we are tracking you, which is why it does not depend on the banner. The details are in the privacy policy.
What a cookie is, and what localStorage is
A cookie is a small text file a site saves in your browser and sends back on every request. localStorage is a similar local store, except that it stays in the browser and is never sent anywhere on its own. We use only the second, and only for one thing.
The three categories on the banner
Strictly necessary — your answer to the banner, in localStorage under the key "firstclass-consent". It cannot be switched off: without it we would not know you had refused, and would ask again on every page. It stays until you clear it from your browser.
Statistics — our own measurement, described below. Off until you switch it on; until then nothing about your visit is sent anywhere.
Marketing — third-party advertising tools. Off by default, and loaded only if you switch them on yourself.
How we count visits
We measure our own traffic, with no cookie and no identifier. We record which pages are opened, roughly how long they are read, which country the request came from, what kind of device was used and which site sent you. Visits are grouped by a value derived from the IP address and the browser, against a key that changes every day — so yesterday’s visits cannot be tied to today’s, still less to you. Nothing is written to your device for it, and the data stays with us, in our own database.
Advertising measurement
No advertising pixel is configured at present, so none loads, whatever you choose. The "Marketing" category stays on the banner anyway, so your decision is already on record if that changes.
How to change your mind
At any time, from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. The same panel opens, with whatever you chose last time, and withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it. Alternatively, clearing the site’s data in your browser settings brings the banner back on your next visit; private browsing has the same effect.
Third-party services
Fonts are served from our own server, not from Google, so simply opening the page sends no request to a third party. We load no maps, no embedded video and no tracking social buttons. The only external link is the one to our Facebook page, which you follow only if you choose to click it.
